Pink
Bucket Racing has started to concentrate on 12th scale racing with five of
the team racing in the 2009-10 British championship. Mark 'Nobby' Stiles and
Chris 'Crisis' Kerswell were very regular A finalists and at the last event
of the championship Chris put in a sterling performance to win both the
Stock and Open championship. This was added to the European Championship
Chris had won just weeks before making him a triple champion.

Pink Bucket Racing competed last year at the 2008 Hot Rod World Championships. Graham, Zack and James Cann competed against the best in the World on the small oval using their Mardave Hot Rods. The event took place over the weekend of 18th and 19th October 2008. With both Graham and James having made the previous Hot Rod Worlds Grand Final hopes were high but in the end it was left down to Zack at his first major event to perform the best as he qualified for the Junior World Final finishing a very commendable seventh overall. The following weekend Graham and Zack competed on the small oval once again this time at the Sussex Open, the premier event in the South of England. On that occasion the Hot Rods were back out again complemented by the Bangers. Although going well with the Hot Rods, with Zack bouyed by his performance the weekend before, it was in the banger class that the team excelled (just about says it all for the driving styles) with Graham finishing second (his first ever outing with a banger) and Zack fifth. |

Pictured left are the 2004 TeamTritech (aka Pink Bucket Racing) one-tenth scale radio controlled model car racing drivers. They are pictured with their multitude of trophies won at the 2004 KO Grand Prix. Team Manager Graham is seen collecting his third place overall from KO representative Hiro Hara. For the full picture click here.
TeamTritech races one-tenth scale electric radio controlled model cars, competing in both the BRCA National (www.brca.org) and Schumacher BTCC series with great success. The team also competes in club championships at their two home tracks of West London Racing Centre (WLRC) and Aldershot in the south of England. In recent years we have branched out to also race one-twelfth circuit cars and one-twelfth oval using Mardave hot rods and bangers. One of our junior members, Zack, was the Southern Oval Banger champion in 2007 whilst Chris was the one-tenth 19 turn British Champion.
All
the team cars now support a pink bucket logo created courtesy of Chris.
The pink bucket is in honour of our Le Mans theme tune the Pink Bucket
Reggae Song sung by Kevin the Gerbil and Roland Rat. A larger pink bucket
will be appearing on the back of Matt's Fiesta XR2 which he races in the
750 Motor Club stockhatch class. For
more about our hero visit the Rat Fans
web site or visit the Rodent
Records page for a snippet of the original Pink Bucket Song.
The team used to run matching body shells but these have been replaced with each team now using their own colours. Aaron's car bears the closest resemblance to the old team colours which can be seen here. Graham's car still represents the spirit of the colour scheme (having viper stripes) even though they are now pink. Old boy, Phil Upton, has now left the realms of radio controlled cars to get involved with slot car racing. Visit the TTraceway to see his new passion.
